Location info
Mallorca has always attracted creative people to its shores. In the 1830s the celebrated writer George Sand spent time here with her partner the equally famous composer Frédéric Chopin. They resided in the town's famous monastery and their stay is outlined in her book A Winter in Majorca. Unsurprisingly, Valldemossa monastery is one of the most visited places in Mallorca.
