British entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson has had an association with the island of Mallorca for many years. Originally the owner of the luxury hotel La Residencia in Deia, the billionaire businessman has branched out by opening up a brand new luxury estate nestling near Bunyola between Esporles and Banyalbufar on the gorgeous northwest coast of Mallorca.

Under the wing of the ‘Virgin Limited Edition’ brand, Son Bunyola allows you to “appreciate the stunning beauty of the Mediterranean from the tranquillity of your own private Mallorcan villa” accordiung to the publicity.

A luxurious getaway

Central to the Son Bunyola estate (which stretches over 700 acres and is a forty-minute drive from Palma International Airport) is a traditional Mallorca farhouse, or ‘finca’ which dates back to the 1800s. Olive and almond groves together with citrus fruit trees abound at Son Bunyola, and the private estate also boasts its own gated entrance.

If you’re looking for that dream ‘home from home’ luxurious holiday with family and friends, Son Bunyola is a little piece of paradise, with coastal and mountain views to die for.

The main attraction of Son Bunyola as an exclusive holiday destination is undoubtedly the estate’s two luxurious villas: Sa Punta de S’Aguila and Sa Terra Rotja.

Villa Sa Punta de S’Aguila
Emblematic Estate Son Bunyola Mallorca

Five-bedroom Sa Punta S’Aguila, or ‘the Eagle’s Point’ in Mallorcean, lies idyllically on a track above the beautiful Mallorcan coastline. The construction is traditional Mallorcan in style with terracotta roof tiles, exposed solid wood beams and with art on the walls. You have your own kitchen living room and dining area, and the villa sleeps up to 10 people in the utmost comfort in five beautiful en suite bedrooms complete with terraces. You also enjoy access to a private 15m swimming pool which is heated. 2017 rates for Sa Punta de S’Aguila start at €17,625 (low season) for a seven-night stay.

Villa Sa Terra Rotja

Ten minutes drive away on the estate lies Sa Terra Rotja (‘red earth’ in Mallorcean.) This exclusive, private villa features four luxury en suite bedrooms slleping up to eight adults. The views out to the Mediterranean  are to die for, the sunsets especially. You enjoy your own private swimming pool (heated) and the villa is just a short walk from a small, delightful pebble beach. 2017 rates start at €14,100 (low season) for a seven-night stay.

Both villas provide wireless internet and your holiday home and pool is serviced daily. Your stay includes breakfast, lunch and dinner and also a meal out at a local restaurant one evening. All drinks are included and include wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks.

You are free to stroll around the private estate at your leisure or enjoy a game or two of tennis on Son Bunyola’s private tennis courts.
