I’ve decided to now only write when the sun is out :-). Today is a calm day, sun and clouds share the skies but no rain is coming down! Temperatures have gone down in the last few days, we now enjoy a 15º-17º spel. The walking shops are doing great business as this is the start of the season when the weather starts settling down into the soft Mallorcan winter weather with lots of sun but not too hot. Excellent for exploring the new GR221 route!
The horrendous thunderstorms we had yesterday have cleared, leaving the sky somewhat lighter, but still the sun is having a hard time coming through. There is a lot of wind from the North, so I have had to succumb and get that coat out of the closet today!
Some autumnal weather set to stay for the next week, with the sun battling for attention on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Auch, let you all down for over a week! Busy with clients, viewing properties in the South West of Mallorca, some more in the North as well. The people that are currently here are getting excited about striking a deal as there really are some bargains around now. More on that in a next entry.
As for the weather, it may have been on the news where you are: Mallorca and part of Menorca were without electricity for more than 4 hours today due to a heavy electric storm. With that came litres and litres of water, hailstones too, it’s been quite a day! Feels like autumn back home although STILL NO COAT so temperatures are ok. Said to be dry tomorrow and in the weekend with sun, but also with some Northerly breezes.
Yesterday was rainy in the morning, sunny and lovely later on. Pretty much today’s scenario. Rained in the early morning, Sun is out again now, and should be here to stay until the end of the week. Temperature around 18º! Great conditions for property viewings!

I have not been updating you for a few days, but I have actually been busy selling properties!! The supposedly slow season is off to a good start in any case! The weather is not so friendly today though but we are being promised that this will be the last day of rain for a good while. So those of you wanting to come property hunting, this coming weekend will be dry and sunny!
Now that the season has come to an end (Summer-season), it is the best time to hunt for properties. Most owners will be happy to talk about the price, as no money is coming in from rentals just now, and with the current crisis, some will feel the pinch over the winter months.
Accomodation is also much better priced, the weather is still fabulous (22º and sunny today!), the mountains are beckoning (long winter walks!), and the hearty Mallorcan dishes can be enjoyed in several typical restaurants that stay open all year.
