are about 50 min. from Palma. Cala d´Or is one of the most
pleasant villages on the east coast of Mallorca. The old part
is built in the “Ibiza style” with small white-washed
buildings. Wide, well looked after promenades with high quality
shops offer all year round the newest fashion. In the car-free
zone are shops, restaurants, bars and pretty cafes under trees.
In and around Cala d’Or there are several romantic sandy
beaches with rocks in cristal clear water, and close to these
there is one of the most beautiful golf course of Mallorca. Walking
and cycling path to the beautiful marina Cala Llonga, where you
find shops, bars and top restaurants next to the water. From there
you can walk on to Cala Egos with its small centre and a wide
sandy beach formed like a fjord and to Porto Petro with charming
restaurants and bars directly by the sea. The most beautiful beach
on the east coast, the Cala Mondrago is reachable by bycicle or
by bus. North of Cala d’Or you find the big natural harbour
and the pretty old town of Porto Colom.
